That's Life is the 10th episode of Season 5 of Baby Lamb & Friends and the 83rd episode overall. It premiered on December 21, 2020.

Summary[]

Baby Lamb and the gang decide to dedicate their time today to contemplating life, and various ways to still enjoy it even if things are growing difficult and weary in the world.

Plot[]

The episode begins with Baby Lamb feeling down. Cow happily walks up to Baby Lamb, who says he's been thinking. Cow's been thinking, too, but specifically how the Cow from Barnyard has udders despite the fact that he's a guy, bringing up how he, himself, has no udders even though he's a cow.

Baby Lamb feels that the world has gone bad but Cow thinks that means the world isn't gonna get any presents for Christmas. Cow wonders why Baby Lamb feels that way, so Baby Lamb talks about how there's been so much hatred and negativity in the world everywhere you go. He doesn't understand why the world is so mean, but Cow reminds him of something he learned. He says it's like stuffed onions: Cow loves stuffed onions but not everyone else does but you gotta pay attention to those who like stuffed onions. Baby Lamb says you can't hate people for hating his favorite food, especially since he doesn't like stuffed onions either. But Cow says Baby Lamb will always be his friend, whether or not he likes stuffed onions. Baby Lamb wishes people can accept each other, no matter how different we are. Baby Lamb and Cow say that's life.

Ricky was sitting by himself contemplating on something until Donny walks by, and Ricky wants to ask Donny if he ever felt happy at one point until he instantly looks back on something stupid he did a long time ago and start cringing at it and feeling bad. Donny asks if that ever happened to Ricky, and Ricky said he did a lot of it a couple of years ago and even though things changed, he can't help but look back on it and feel bad about himself. Donny asks if he felt bad and regret them but Ricky just cringe at them since he was young back then. He questions how he acts like that back then, but Donny says it's okay to have those feelings. He says the mistakes we do in life can help us improve as people and you can't let them stop you from improving. Mistakes are what make people who they are. Donny says it's better to learn from the past instead of running from it, and only focus on the now and the future. Ricky feels much better and understands now, so Donny invites Ricky to watch Doghouse Rock with him (even though Donny doesn't really like it).

Meanwhile, Alice and Belle are busy babysitting Cow's little brother, Calf. Belle and Alice are both very fond of Calf, and Belle finds him very cute although Alice thinks Belle says everything is cute. Belle can't help it, cuz she sees beauty in everything in the whole wide world while Alice thinks everything is crappy and there's nothing beautiful about it. But Belle encourages Alice to look past the bad stuff and appreciate all the good there is, especially if we treat each other with love and make the world a better place. Alice suddenly feels much better and Belle says it's never impossible to be positive and there's so much to be positive about, cuz they're all with each other and anything is possible if we take things one day at a time. Alice thinks Belle is a big source of positivity, and Calf feels the same way.

Cow noticed how Baby Lamb's been thinking all these emotional thoughts, and Baby Lamb talks about how the world has been changing and so much has been happening. He doesn't want to lose his friends, who all meet up with Baby Lamb and Cow. They've all been contemplating a lot about life today, especially talking about how difficult things have been. Ricky says that even if they all grow up and have their own lives, they'll always be friends. Donny wondered what Baby Lamb meant by "changes", and Baby Lamb says that people lose each other or are separated from each other and he doesn't want it to happen to any of his own friends. Cow says Baby Lamb he'll never lose him and they'll always be friends, and Donny says they are like family. Baby Lamb understands now and says he's been worried how life will be in the future, but Ricky reassures him that life may be hard but it's not terrible. Sometimes you have to make the most of every moment you have with the people you love so they can get through the hard times. Donny says life may not be good all the time but no one will be alone, and Belle tells Baby Lamb that he'll never be alone. Baby Lamb thanks everyone and says no matter how old he gets, he'll always remember that he has the bestest friends with him. The episode ends with the Lamb Gang gathered together.
